Fire Starter - FS-v3™

The Dark Ridge USA® FS-v3™ introduces new tech to fire making. It is a complete fire making kit which includes our patented SparkHood and a PyroCerium™ Rod.  The SparkHood collects the spark, directs the spark onto your tinder, and protects the spark from the wind and the rain. There is also a storage compartment which contains a metal striker and waterproof Tinder Plugs, secured behind the retention cap.

To use the tool, position the FS-v3™ so the SparkHood is covering the tinder.  Use the striker to scrape the PyroCerium™ rod towards the SparkHood, generating sparks. Once your tinder has ignited, lift the FS-v3™ away from the tinder allowing in more oxygen for further ignition.
