The Dark-Ridge FS-v3 introduces new tech to fire making. It includes the following: FireStarter-v3 PyroCerium™ Rod, Striker, Fire Tinder, & Retention Cap The storage compart provides a dry space to store emergency waterproof Tinder Plugs as well as a metal striker. All of which supports the patent pending SparkHood. Once you have Positioned the FS-v3 so the SparkHood is covering the tinder. Use the striker to generate a spark, striking the PyroCerium™ rod towards the SparkHood.
